Lori McMahon - 2010 Team Franco

Lori winning her class and overall title at the NPC Natural Northern USA Championships and a week later at the NPC Natural PA Championships.!

I’m Lori McMahon and I work out at our family owned Z’s Gym in DuBois, PA with my brother Mark who is also a competitive bodybuilder, husband Dan, nephew Nick and whoever else wants to join in. I'm a powerlifter gone bodybuilding. I learned a lot from my brother but found that what worked for him did not necessarily work for me so I tweaked my workout and diet but still couldn’t achieve the lean look that I was after. So after learning from other competitors about online trainers, I decided to give it a try myself. I liked the idea that someone would guide me and monitor my progress. I was both excited and nervous at the same time. I knew I wanted someone that trained natural so I did some research online and found Joe Franco. I emailed him and he replied the very next day. I found him to be personable, helpful and honest in his answers to my questions plus he was from my home state of PA so I decided to work with him.

At first I had intended to only follow Joe’s nutrition plan because I felt my workouts were fine but my husband disagreed and suggested I follow Joe's workout plan also so I did and he was right for once. I had never measured out my food before so that was quite an adjustment. Although I was already regimented with my workouts, it was nice to have a detailed workout/cardio routine written out for me and know exactly what I should be doing each day. I was also grateful to have Joe’s help through that critical week before a competion. He definitely made it less stressful for me.

The highlight of my 2010 competitive season was winning my class and overall title at the NPC Natural Northern USA Championships and a week later at the NPC Natural PA Championships. At the age of 45, I’m in the best shape of my life.

Working with Joe has helped me step out of my comfort zone. My workouts and diet are different from what I’m used to in the past but I have certainly seen some positive results. My plan is to continue working with Joe and see how far I can go in this crazy but great and rewarding sport of bodybuilding. <{> A few things that I learned from Joe along the way are that: Change is good
I can actually include peanut butter in my diet and
A missed workout can never be made up!

Thanks for all your guidance and support, Joe.
